A leading member of the National Contract Management Association, Robert holds the association's Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), and Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) designations. For his notable contributions to the field of contracting, the NCMA has given him three of its highest honors: Fellow, National Achievement Award and Top Professionals Under 40 in Contract Management Award.
Robert is a well-known national presenter on government contract management, accounting compliance and related topics. His highly rated presentations engage audiences with innovative approaches to profitability and compliance in federal contract management.
The West Virginia native earned a Bachelor's degree in accounting from the McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte in North Carolina. He holds a Master's degree in accountancy from The Graduate School of the College of Charleston in South Carolina. He is a licensed CPA in the State of Ohio.
In his spare time, Robert applies the same passion and energy that drive him professionally to a pursuit of excellence in all aspects of life. A devoted friend and committed athlete, he challenges those around him to tackle life with tenacity. Travels across North America, Europe, and parts of South America have inspired a unique world view and desire to effect positive change. He currently works and lives in Columbus, Ohio with his partner, Andy, and their terrier, Anna.
A Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) certification demonstrates they met NCMA’s highest standards for education, training, and experience, and demonstrated their knowledge of the contract management competencies in the Contract Management Body of Knowledge. It is NCMA’s senior and most prestigious certification.
The Fellow designation recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of contracting and to NCMA. It is the second highest award given by the Association. Although the specific criteria have evolved over time, the broad categories of service required for selection as an NCMA Fellow have remained the same.
